Photo Memories, the paper crafting and scrapbooking division of Carsand-Mosher Photographic, has locations in Truro, Bayer's Lake and Moncton with the premier store located in the Bayer's Lake Business Park.
Carsand-Mosher Photographic, with its long history in the business of photography, recognized the need for people to tell stories with their photos. Responding to this need, we incorporated scrapbooking into our successful photographic enterprises. Over the years, the hobby and grown and evolved into an art form in its own right as people discovered the joy and satisfaction in preserving and sharing their histories.
Eventually, people began to look for more ways to share their pictures. With the blending our knowledge of photography and our dedication to capturing "those perfect moments in time", Photo Memories was born.
Photo Memories offer classes and workshops in many genres of paper crafting as well as carrying complete lines of albums and frames. Our state-of-the-art crafting studio in the Bayer's Lake location is a crafter’s haven providing a perfect place to crop and create. Drop by. Stay awhile. Make something wonderful!
Terry fell into paper crafting when he started searching for a way to present his pictures in a meaningful way. The girls love having him around for so many reasons – not the least of which is the male perspective he brings to the art of scrapbooking. Terry especially enjoys teaching beginner scrapbooking classes. He loves the rewards of introducing people to their pictures and their stories.
A mother, a grandmother, a scrapbooker, a card-maker, a gardener, a photographer, a collector of poems and a nature lover – Brenda is the very heart and soul of Photo Memories. A scrapbooker and a card-maker for years before it was fashionable, Brenda uses her skills and talents to connect with people and never misses an opportunity to celebrate the little things.
Bernadette has been an avid photographer since the age of 12, it seemed like a natural progression to scrapbooking and card making. She has worked in the photo industry for 16 years, 9 of which she has worked at Carsand Mosher. Bernadette has been married to her high school sweetheart for 32 years, they have 2 children and 3 handsome grandsons. She is also crafty with her knitting, crocheting, sewing, tole painting and has dappled into paper quilling. Her other interest include going to the gym, bicycling and rides on the motorcycle with her honey. Her greatest passion is running, in which she has completed 15 1/2 marathons and 2 full ones.
Jill, or a.k.a Jilly or O.J. was first a customer who came to Photo Memories to enjoy classes. She was an avid card maker at first and upon joining the staff soon learned to love the art of scrap booking as well. The other things in Jill's life that bring her great joy is being with her boyfriend, Eugene, spending time with her children, Kim and Joe, being truly happy, keeping healthy, music, watching movies, riding on the Harley and of course ice cream, which all the above mentioned have been scrap booked! One of Jill's personal achievements was to lose 116 lbs. She says to Live, Love and Laugh as often as possible.
Karen was drawn into papercrafting 6 years ago when she decided one year to make her own Christmas cards. Little did she know that it would open her up to the whole world of scrapbooking, card-making, stamping, and other paper crafts. Like many scrapbookers, she will openly admit that it’s addictive! Primarily a scrapbooker and card-maker, Karen is always willing to try out new techniques and products, and her eyes light up like a kid on Christmas when new product comes into the store. Rapidly becoming known as the "queen of distress", you will often find her drooling in the Tim Holtz aisle - even when she’s not working!
Sue has been scrapbooking since 1993. She loves playing with and taking pictures of her young son, going on scrapbooking retreats, hiking, camping and reading. She is a cake designer, making cakes for every occasion, going as far as making up occasions to make a cake (ie. washroom renovating party and 3, 6 or 9 month birthday parties). She has been crowned chipboard queen, having made more than 40 mini-albums and with the purchase of the bind-it-all has gone completely nuts with the number of books she's making and with what she's making them out of ie. tissue paper rolls, coffee sleeves. She has worked with adult's with special needs for 20 years and even prior to working at Carsand Mosher, would take her clients to scrapbooking and card making classes as activities.
